I work in audio and I can confirm that there are indeed dickwads who pull out audio cables without checking the sound engineer has muted the channels first. Thing is though that even on a huge PA it doesn't sound that much like a bang or explosion. And the guy who pulled the plug should at this point be known cause the SE would understand what the speakers going bang would sound like.
