So I was watching The Flash instead (because I want to experience a sane reality where things make sense at least once a week); did Hannity nut up and quit  , or was that tweet just a stunt to con people back into watching his show like I fully expected it to be?

That gets into some...questionable territory and those people tend to believe that spousal rape is impossible because if you're married the purpose is to make babies so you must have sex as often as either person feels the need to make as many babies as possible. Condoms are bad! Abortion is bad! Birth control is bad! The drive to hump is God telling you to make babies so get with the baby makin'! That same logic means that if somebody is feeling the need to rape somebody then it must be God wanting that baby to come into existence. Hence people arguing that rape babies are "gifts from God." A woman who chooses to not get married and be filled with babies by a man is defying His will and is wrong and bad so He had to work through...other means. Fortunately that belief isn't all that common but I have no idea how somebody can possibly believe that sort of madness without realizing the horror of it. Of course all of that ignores that human sex isn't only for procreation. It's for bonding and social things as well. The other side of it is that there are in fact a hell of a lot of Evangelicals quoting Leviticus and demanding that all the gays be rounded up and stoned to death. Depends on which flavor of American Christianity you're dealing with, really.

Since this is the darkest timeline, Sean Hannity will just fabricate another conspiracy to keep his viewers focused on anything except the Russia investigation. He has to keep his ratings up and that seems to be the only way he can keep his show.

Trump thinks he is going to get away with this because he has so many corporations, LLCs, and other holding companies to spread around the bribes and money laundering schemes involved in Russian money flowing into those entities. I bet he's one of those people that truly believes that corporations are legally people and liability lies within this quasi corporate structure. Real estate is a very small portion of his holdings anyway. Plus he's trying to like DDOS financial investigators with so many tiny corporations that handle all of the stupid ventures that he's created like Trump Steaks or the Trump Taj Mahal. He was hit with like 100+ accusations of money laundering at his casino in Atlantic City after all. And not to mention, look at Flynn trying to plead the fifth when he was subpoena'd by the Senate Intel Committee and them saying "lol no, companies can't plead the fifth, you dolt." It blows my mind that these people are somehow part of the 1%.
