yea the tf2 comics and shorts were really good. valve has good writers. overwatch stuff isn't canon or w/e because it's a retooled pvp mode from an mmo that got scrapped. it's super popular tho so that mmo or maybe a diablo style coop shooter like borderlands will be made and that's where the story will matterMomomo posted:Would Goku even have hidden potential to bring out? Gohan spent all his time off not training, but Goku does nothing but get stronger. I can't imagine that ceremony would do very much for him. krillin was still training a lot when he got his potential unlocked on namek it's not like it means much in practice anyway; it's just a free powerup

Other than narrative reasons, why don't the Z crew ever use the Dragon Balls to make themselves stronger? The Dragon Balls only seem to be used to wish people back to life, nobodies ever using them for anything else except movie villains

They are limited by the power of the person who created them. It's why the Dragon can't just kill Vegeta or whatever. It just so happens that immortality and reviving the dead are perfectly in that realm.

The only two things Goku enjoys more than training to get stronger are eating and fighting, and Vegeta has a big complex about succeeding under his own power as far as he is able. It's the same reason why Goku and Vegeta could beat pretty much any villain ever by fusing and going full power and just murdering the guy in 5 seconds before the fusion ends, but neither of them would ever do that because it wouldn't be a real fight.

vegeta chased the wishes because he assumed that was the only way he could ever beat freeza and get revenge for his people, once goku did it just by going super saiyan reaching that himself and proving he was better than goku became vegeta's main goal and wishes would undermine that e: well he was also chasing the wishes pre-namek but that can kinda be chalked up to his characterization mostly just being 'evil saiyan bigshot', once toriyama decided he was gonna stick around he got more fleshed out

I like that he's so focused on beating Goku despite having two victories over him, 'cos he definitely beat Goku in the Saiyan saga (though plot demands that Vegeta ultimately flee earth obviously, it wasn't Goku who directly beat him) and he technically beat him in the Buu saga, though Goku was holding back.
