Without the rear bumpers, it really reinforces how teeny the superspeedway rear wing is.

Judging by how the initial render looked with a team paint scheme on it, I have a feeling we're in a good spot for appearance.

That angled rear wing makes a big difference. It looks fast just because of that.

They keep saying the supplier has yet to be decided. Why isn't it Dallara? Who designed this thing?

My understanding is that IndyCar designed it, but the manufacturer hasnt been picked because they wanted to do an open RFP (its going to be Dallara, cmon)

So looking at the renders, it looks like the front and rear main plains are the current spec pieces. Thats good, will save costs and I've never heard too many complaints about them. Also looks like the majority of the sidepod will be the same between super speedway and all other tracks. Will save some costs there too.

It does look like they flipped the radiator assembly to a more conventional layout, so that will be a pretty big cost. More than just a new sidepod shroud, they will need to rebuild and rewire all the internals too.

Here's the current insides. Can see that there will be a lot of new internal parts, much more than the current aerokits.

It's worth the money IMO because it puts a lot more crushable material on either side of the driver.

IndyCar's site has a bunch of new speedway renders too that arent in that tweet. Looks like the whole car essentially will be identical between speedway and road course, will save the crews a lot of heart ache. Although it looks like they will make the teams buy a separate floor for the speedway car, thats strange.

Finally IndyCar will be back to glory because the overhead airbox will be gone from turbocharged cars. All praise.

Speedway kit looks sleek and fast, and I like the swept rear wing on the road course package too. Looks great all around. Here's hoping we get a new engine manufacturer in soon too.
