The anime's art style is slightly more slender than the manga, although it seems to be applied fairly equally across characters. To be fair, Horikoshi's designs are kinda on the stocky side.

tbh when I saw the comparison image I thought it was a joke because they looked so similar. Not identical, but it seemed well within the drift you'd get unless they hired the original artist to draw every keyframe.
