Don't know what they changed, and could just be a coincidence but I am getting tons of errors and bugs now. Alt tab stopped working, keeps crashing my PC, sometimes it loads, people are shooting with their gadgets.

I'm starting to use Castle more now that I've got a better understanding of the maps. It seems like generally he can be beneficial so long as you are putting his barricades up where attackers reliably enter from, rather than doorways and such inside the building itself. There's a spot in the offices on Border with a single window in the back, and having that fortified an extra step has been nice for delaying flanks or just alerting us to an enemy without putting us in the danger a wooden barricade does.

castle works best if you save 1 or 2 walls until late in the round when the attackers are committed to their angles of attack.

you can seriously gently caress people over that wait until the last second to rotate or step foot on the objective

also lol at saying anything bad about hl2 aside from how they tried to pretend the beta gameplay stuff was unscripted

Castle can be a double-edged sword at times. Paired with Mute, he can be great at keeping people out so long as the enemy doesn't have Ash or Sledge (or I guess Thatcher). On the downside, if you don't have Mute, watch out for those Fuze charges.

It's great though when the enemy uses Castle and they end up Castling themselves out of the room right at the end, letting you win the match.

I'm getting really bad screen tearing lately. I use an nvidia 1070 and fast sync generally solves all screen tearing / vsync issues ever. Others online seem to have experienced this too recently, possibly a problem in a newer nvidia driver.

Anyone able to weigh in on this ultra-specific issue?

Got the same card but haven't updated to the latest driver just yet, my games fine now i'm not sure whether i want to try it out or not.

Since the start of the season it seems match making is either nearly instant or like 5 minutes, nothing in between. Also you have a nonzero chance of having your squad split off and placed in multiple matches for no reason.
