Guys, I am most excited this weekend for the possible return of BUT GRO PER, or the somewhat more rare BUT RAI PER. It's been Thursday for years and years. Fridays have always been sponsor/special events day in Monaco because frankly if you need this part explained to you then you should probably read up on what Monte Carlo is outside of F1.

The race used to always be on Ascension Day weekend, so the Friday was a religious holiday. It's not tied to that anymore (although it is actually Ascension Day today) but the day off remains.

This is a post-Adam Parr Williams with Claire in charge and Paddy Lowe as part of the team. Williams is financially much better off than the past few years (thank you, Parr) and Paddy himself is not going to tolerate Lance Stroll. You could tell as much with that non-answer he gave in response to Stroll being poo poo and the criticism he's generated. If Lance is dropped mid-season I'd highly suspect that Paddy was the one that really pushed for it.
