Honestly, what can Fox even do to get themselves out of their death spiral? Their demo is 70+ and dying off by the day and young people don't give a gently caress about cable news. And of those that do they want to see coverage of the Trump dumpsterfire which Fox is absolutely forbidden from covering. Not to mention how they alienated their most promising talent in Kelly forcing her off the station. And their staples like O'Riley and Hannity are either gone or on the way out. They were all excited to spend the next 4 years bashing Hillary every hour of every day and had literally no fallback plan. God I want this loving network to die a miserable death. I'm not sure if it'll be able to pivot. It won't be able to go full right wing nuts and that's where the most news interested part of the base is. The moderates watch other outlets. Fox will attempt to moderate itself and get RINO'd out of existence. Fox Sports will do okay though.

They would have to groom new talent and somehow stop it from being a scene from Wolf of Wallstreet. Then you'd have to go out and acquire as much of the online right wing presence as possible. A problem the right has that the left really doesn't is someone will always go more extreme, and denounce the people that don't follow. So unless Fox News could get that under control, they'd always be outflanked. then you'd have to find a new message to try to peel people away from the middle. Or hope another non white male becomes president and america loses its mind again

I'm kind of curious what it looks like. Do they make a desperate bid to rebrand once Hannity is finally gone and all their replacements aren't doing poo poo for ratings? Do they just continue on the raging ball of hate course as a spite project for Murdoch? It seems implausible it'll just be sold off, but maybe that's only 'cause they've existed for so much of my formative years.
