Hope it being specifically a captain in gravis armor means you can get a Mk X captain with actual equipment options. Kitting out your warlord was always one of the more fun bits of making an army. Artum fucked around with this message at 19:34 on May 26, 2017 |

Going by the same [rough/stupid] guidelines, I'd bet the captain costs more than 100pts.

So they're balancing the 3 x specialist detachments by them only giving 1 command point, seems fair.

I reckon I'll easily be able to get a full Ork Brigade detachment in low point games. Single kans and buggies wobbling about while all the points go elsewhere. It'll be nice to have an auxiliary Deathstrike missile because those are orky as heck.

From what we see there it seems like orks nids and guard are going to have a much easier time filling out that brigade detachment for that tasty +9 command points in your average game. ^^^hah same thought same time.

Just a slogan that comes around every time any mini game gets a new edition. It's generally a good time to start a new army as you can be sure that you're getting the maximum time with it without worrying about the next edition.

What's the deal with extra command points for filling out a detachment? Is it a flat +3?
|
# ? May 26, 2017 20:48 |
|
You start with 3 points, then get the bonus for each detachment you have. So if you take the Battalion, Vanguard, and Auxiliary detachments, you'll have 3 + 3 + 1 - 1, so 6 CP to spend either before or during the game.

Now that templates are gone I am curious what Stomp will do. I assume D3 or D6 mortal wounds or something.

They didn't give the statline, but it looks like it's a weapon you can choose to use:quote:Another big change is how Stomps work. Previously, Stomps simply removed models entirely from the game on the roll of a 6. While this was useful for dealing with some problematic character-laden units which were hyper-durable, it could create gameplay situations which were not very satisfying for players when their favorite model was unceremoniously stomped into oblivion with no saves!

Oh, no, just a Brigade is basically a full 7th edition CAD, so it'll take a lot to fill up the mandatory slots to get those 9 points.

The detachments all seem really interesting to me. I like how the specialized ones are worth basically one third of the generalized ones, so they don't fall off too hard on usefulness. I don't see auxillary supports coming up too often, tbh, but I imagine it'll be helpful for slipping in an extra unit.
