Oh boy. What to get from that Star Wars sale.

I think The Empire Vol. 3, The New Republic Vol. 2, and The Clone Wars Vol. 1 of the Epic Collections will do. That will finish out the first two series for me.

I swear I got the link from here, but can't find it. That sale of marvel/star wars on amazon also has a promo for another free book. It's the $3 sale category maybe? I'm trying to find actual details on this promo.

I bought Black Vortex gotg/xmen thing and grabbed new mutants with the promotion.

Is the IMAGE65 promotion the one he's referring to? Because it stacks with whatever sale is going on for Saga so that vol. 1-6 are $2.10 each. I did not get an email either. $10 for 5 volumes (already had vol. 1) seems like way too good a deal to pass up.

Just used that. 24 trades for ~$60. Pretty incredible sale. Went ahead and rebought all of Saga to have it again, and caught up on East of West, The Manhattan Projects, Prophet, The Wicked and the Divine, and Descender, and grabbed Kaptara.

There's a good series of recommendations starting here in the DC thread. Legend of Wonder Woman and Rucka's stuff is an easy pick.

You're pretty much golden with anything as long as you avoid:
J. Michael Straczynski's run, Flashpoint, Superman/Wonder Woman (I liked Charles Soule's vol 1-2, but I dunno if anyone else was a fan of that era), and vol 7-9 of the N52 series (when Finch took over from Azzarello.)

I'd say start with the Parez and Rucka collections and then N52 which was great, but a skewed take on her mythology for the rebooted universe.
Can't speak to it, but Legends of Wonder Woman has big fans.
Jill Thompson's 'True Amazon' OGN is stunning.

edit: The 75th Anniversary thing is probably a good sampler. I like the one of those I got for Shazam/Captain Marvel.

Do these transfer into your Comixology account? If so there's a few I'd grab but I don't want to have to divide my books between the Kindle app and the Comixology app.

Along with some books I been meaning to pick up, I grabbed the What If collection from the sale. Happy to have them, but why does the collection and Comixology individual issues are missing a few random issues. They don't connect at all, but weird a few random ones are absent.

If you're talking about the old classic collections it's probably because there's some with characters they don't own rights to anymore like Conan or Fu Manchu. I know for a fact Conan is in several issues like the one where he fights Thor and the one where he comes to present day.

Oh yeah I remember when reading the top 100 What If article a goon wrote that several have Conan in it. That would make sense why they skip over some issues.

[edit] Ha, one of the books I bought (dunno which) gave me a promo code for a free graphic novel. Dunno if I had it on Comixology in singles, but got Old Man Logan for free. :toot:

There's no way it's a glitch.
I just got Punisher Max stuff. I think forcing myself to resub to MU to start with the pre-Max Ennis will actually get me reading rather than buying a whole bunch of collections that will still stay in my digital 'to read' pile forever, no matter how cheap they are.

Everyone's opinions will vary but you might try:

-Kraven's Last Hunt
-Return of The Sinister Six
-Spider-Man: Tombstone
-The Complete Alien Costume Saga
-The original Secret Wars
-Brand New Day
-pre-Sins Past run by JMS on Amazing Spider-Man
-A lot of Spectacular Spider-Man is good. The aforementioned Tombstone trade paperback (which I didn't even know was a thing before someone posted it) draws from Spectaculer. The stuff by J.M. DeMatteis and Sal Buscema is a highlight, especially the Harry Osborn story.
-Marvel Team-Up is not a Spider-Man title per se but in practice it was Spider-Man + a different hero each month. Ran for over a 100 issues so it's cool to see Spider-Man with a huge cross-section of the Marvel cast.

A few more items that I couldn't find on Marvel Unlimited:

Brian Bendis' Powers series from 2000

The Dark Tower books

Claremont's God Loves, Man Kills, from 1982

I can't give an opinion on any of them though - I ended just getting Squirrel Girl Beats Up the Marvel Universe.
