Hello? Can you hear me? ...Perhaps if I shout? AAAAAAAAAH!
Same problem the first PC port of Dark Souls 2 had, where durability went down twice as fast because it was 60 FPS. This happens a lot with japanese games.

Happened with one of the call of duty's too where you would shoot faster at higher framerates, I think.

That was the first battlefield for the current gen, the one where 100% of the time if you saw the building collapse event, it crashed the server.

Oh right I forgot that. I guess that works out then, though he should get the health upgrades from the other styles at least.

That episode had everything. Competence, incompetence, glitches, physics shenanigans, people doing headers off of ledges, and that smug son of a bitch Roy Earle.

Cabaret is generally worse than Real Estate, which is a shame because the game is kinda fun (although it's nowhere nearly fun enough to carry you through the storyline).

e: also because Pat did the grinding he missed that you can get the Obatarian as a hostess.

e: "the worst story of any shooter" it's dumb as gently caress, but Putin's the bad guy, just like in real life!

God, it occurs to me that in LA Noire that if Matt and Pat don't remember how the case goes and pull up a guide, all this partner driving is gonna kick them in the rear end for an episode or two in that final homicide case

Can someone explain how frame rate is tied to damage? I don't know anything about computers so I'm probably missing something. I saw negative reviews on steam saying "Frame rate makes this game really hard" and they were getting 80% thumbs downs so I assumed they didn't know what they were talking about.

Basically instead of telling the guns to "shoot 5 times a second" they told them to "shoot every 6 frames", because it's easier to code and isn't a noticeable difference if the game is console exclusive and thus running at a fixed 30.

The writers did the best job with making Roy Earle be a real piece of poo poo just by being what a normal LA detective was like in the 40s.

Like, you could feel how blatantly routine his assholery was back then.

I think it says a lot about their depiction of the era that Phelps The Insufferably Straight Arrow just sat silently on the sidelines during his shitheel parade.

Nerdietalk
Dec 23, 2014

I think what's especially great about it is that even if you interpret him as uncomfortable during that scene, it shows that Phelps really doesn't want to rock the boat. He'll give criminals and coworkers poo poo during working hours, but if it isn't in the rules and regulations he won't say a word.

I like how immediately Yakuza 0 keeps answering questions the guys ask.

Woolie stumbling his way through the entire chase and escort sequence only to shoot the guy he's been escorting in the back of the head after he inexplicably ran out of cover right in front of him, killing him instantly and game overing, combined with matt and pat's reaction was loving top shelf

I mean sure it checkpointed him right before, but still
