Well, of course I know him.

Half of each movie sucked, and Viral wasn't worth watching. There's one film's worth of good content in the whole series, but I still hope for a sequel. R-rated horror anthologies are a great idea.

e: the sick thing that happened to emily was the only one from VHS1 I didn't think was good.

VHS 2 was amazing with only the Clinical Trials short being weak.

VHS 3 only has a bad wraparound, the rest rules. Bonestorm for lyfe

I didn't say the remake was better, mind you. Blair Witch Project (Burkittsville 7 and Curse of the Blair Witch) owns obviously.

I think my biggest problem with the remake is that it switched the subtle powers of the witch in the original (some kind of glamour to trap people in the forest. I think the protagonists going crazy is just stress induced for most part) with big budget powers.

All of a sudden the witch can telepathically hurl trees, spawn parasites, manipulate time, and wall skitter.

This ability it used so much in horror movies, but does it ever actually look good in any of them besides The Fly and The Exorcist. It works in The Fly because of good set design and angling everything just so, and it works in Exorcist because they literally tied a contortionist to a pole and slid her down the wall. But it was pretty laughable looking in Exorcist 3 and Harlin's version of the Exorcist prequel. I kind of hate it as a thing in general from lovely overuse.

Not a horror movie but the scene in BvS where Batman is first revealed takes a lot of cues from horror movies and uses Wall Skitter appropriately.

Batman's movements didn't even look human in that scene. It was a good scene. Too bad the rest of the movie was made of poop mixed with corn.

The trailer for Kenneth Branagh's Murder on the Orient Express is out, and while I don't think it will be a terrible movie or a flop, it clearly shows that Branagh has no idea what a moustache is, and it also has Johnny Depp in it, so I feel it belongs in this thread in some way :downs:

I've a feeling the ending might be different from the original and in general I'm kinda wary, but drat, the cast is impressive.

Whatever the crap Red Shoes and the 7 Dwarfs is (a cartoon), it decided that a body shaming ad campaign was acceptable, at lease until star Chloe Grace Moretz got mad and suddenly the ad campaign is yanked. Is the ad campaign successful in that I've never heard of the movie before and now have? Or is it a failure because there is no way I'd go see it regardless?

I don't get the outrage. The way these movies typically goes is that society considers her to be conventionally beautiful when in make up (shoes) but when she's herself (no shoes) she's not conventionally beautiful but guess what, it doesn't matter and in the end she'll be accepted for who she is and her real beauty will show. Stuff like that.

So I've read some of the outrage on twitter blasting Mortez talking about how all of the campaign and stuff is misogynistic and that she knew what she was doing when she read the script, how dare she accept this role, etc.

It really should be highlighted how different an animated project can turn out to be in the end from what was originally pitched to an actor when they agreed to give their voice.
Do you think any of the actors involved in Food Fight expected this to be the result?
