In a last ditch effort to shore up support, Theresa May announces that she will make gelfling hunting legal.

If they get a vote of confidence, yeah, any party or coalition can form a minority government. It would be neither strong nor stable, however!

Probably, if the DUP and UUP helped them out and enough Labour MPs and Lib Dem MPs abstained in the vote against their first budget.

The DUP have legit flat earther creationists like Sammy Wilson in high office but that doesn't matter to either Labour or the Tories if it gets them into government, Northern Ireland is a friggin disaster.

why was May even picked to be Conservative leader in the first place? does she know where all the 8 year olds are buried?

It was a pretty masterful piece of politicking that stands in stark contrast to what looks like a horrendous miscalculation in calling this election. May has always been clamouring for the UK to leave the EU legal system and human rights charter but then suddenly became very quiet as the campaign got underway. Toward the end she needed to pick a winner and so stated that on balance she would vote for remain but crucially didn't do much campaigning so wasn't associated with it.

Come the vote Cameron resigns and Osbourne, her big rival has to go too. The big voices on the leave side stab each other in the back spectacularly and so without doing very much May has quietly found herself facing off against someone no one's ever heard of and a somehow even more unpopular (compared to pre brexit) gove

Well yes, but I don't think that had much to do with why they chose her.

John Woodcock has already said he has no intention of supporting a Corbyn government, and it's safe to assume that there's a decent sized group on the right of the PLP who agree but aren't dumb enough to preemptively say so.

There are like three dozen socialists in the US, total. But if you mean left-liberals and socdems, just as the vast majority of Bernie supporters toed the line for Hillary and only a few were dumb enough to try defecting leftward, the vast majority of center libs will toe the line for a left lib and only a few will be dumb enough to defect rightward. It's the nice thing about the US's political polarization. Blairites can always go Lib Dem, but conservatives make unceasing war on all RINOs.

And was thinking, wtf nanny state britian banned jelqing? Or just hunting for jelqing?

Very disappointing.

i don't understand this at all. why skip the debate if youre just sending a lackey in your place to get hammered on? the whole point of skipping is to avoid presenting a target. now youve presented a target while also looking like a pathetic coward.

im beginning to suspect that these tory fellows might not be terribly competent
