Seriously: why exactly does Trump want want to pull out of this deal? What does he have to benefit by doing this?

Why does he care about keeping his promise to dumbshit coal country (who already votes Republican)? He doesn't give a poo poo about keeping promises unless it personally benefits him and I'm not sure how pulling out from this agreement benefits him in any financial way.

Is it really as simple as wanting to undo everything Obama did out of spite?

The Europeans laughed at him and didn't kiss his rear end, so he wants to make sure the Netherlands are under water within 50 years.

Your bi-page reminder that Nicaragua only abstains because they think the agreement doesn't go far enough and is powerless, not because they oppose the concept. And Syria effectively isn't a country right this second. The United States is alone in truly opposing it, and they are doing it for literally the most evil and stupid reason possible.

That's not really a fantasy though. You can certainly defend yourself from the government if you have guns. John Joe Gray assaulted a police officer and got away with it by arming himself and hiding out on his east Texas property with some militia buddies. He warned the cops that if they came for him to "bring body bags". The authorities didn't want another Waco and left him alone. The charges were dropped after 15 years.

Also, we've spent 16 years fighting an outmanned and outgunned enemy. Even if hillbillies don't have RPG's, in a martial law/civil war situation other countries are going to be tripping over themselves to arm insurgents and militias in the US.

Saying the 2nd amendment protects against a tyrannical government is stupid, but it's not wrong.

I'm talking from a purely political perspective here, but some people seem legitimately confused as to why people in economically depressed areas with no other industry would like to keep their job that compensates them at an immensely higher rate than any other occupation available to them with their skillset and educational level.
