Over the years we have spent literally billions of pounds on Trident and we have never needed to fire it in defense of this country And now the government want to replace it with a new one? This is terrible value for money. That's why I won't be voting for any party that won't commit to using Trident within their first term in office

The very few attacks from the audience were either deflected into another point or just ablated through sheer tedium as she droned on and on Meanwhile Corbyn had about half his questions outright attacking him over nuclear weapons, the IRA and Hamas, and where is teh money coming from despite the manifesto being costed, unlike the Tories who are literally saying 'our plan is like, ideas' - and there were multiple people hitting each of these points. Whatever the audience makeup, the QT team chose those questioners and knew what they were going to ask. Did we really need several people repeating the same accusations and reckons as the last person? There were some decent questions in there but a lot of it was people queueing up to have a pop

They didn't really get a chance to come back, the lady nurse was trying to reply at the end but Dimbleby moved on. I'm glad shouty man nurse got to call her out a little but May pretty much got to talk poo poo and pretend everything is fine, actually

Then when it was time for nukechat the audience member was finished but he decided to press Corbyn repeatedly for a better response. He's well within his rights to do so, but it would have been nice to see May come under the same pressure to actually answer the question.

Still don't think most people give a gently caress about nukes the same way that audience did. If he wins or not it won't be down to that shitshow.

May (a person who is actually responsible for harming the country and the people living in it) was pretty much able to present herself as this very boring but serious politician, and that's her entire plan for success - especially when she's making everything about brexit and the negotiations For people who are undecided it makes the status quo look like a safer bet. Who knows how much effect it will have but it could have been a lot worse for May and a lot better for Corbyn

How does emigration from the UK to other EU countries work right now? Could a bunch of British doctors and nurses and scientists just move to Europe before Brexit and stay there? Or is that one of those things that's going to be negotiated?

Unless right to remain in one EU country also gives you free movement which I don't know if it does.

You could uproot all your poo poo only to find out 2 years later that Theresa May & David Davies & Liam Fox cocked up the negotiations so bad that the EU countries will make life hard for British immigrants to stay. Also, some people really aren't comfortable with moving to a foreign land where they can't speak the language, and as a nation we're pretty poo poo at speaking foreign languages. And then there's the whole "living near your support system" thing. It's not really that practical for people to uproot if they have a kid in school etc. And plenty of us simply can't afford the costs that moving to another country entail.
