Holy poo poo, yes. Overdrive is one of my favorite thrash albums in recent memory. I can't wait to listen to this.

This sounds good! I should've (might have?) met you at MDF. I did hang out in the Chicago crew party rooms on Thursday, with 15 maniacs sharing two rooms. Maybe I met you on Saturday or Sunday, or maybe you've heard tales of me...

That sounds like us, Days Inn, room 202. Im the only one who wears a hat 99% of the time. 3/4ths of the band were in that room.

My Metalhead Box arrived today. They ship 25th of the month, so happy with the Canada to UK posting times.

Haul:
A keychain in the shape of a Dimebag guitar
Signed postcard picture of old man Karl Sanders
Issue one of Overdose zine (classic b/w style thing)
Hooder Menace shirt (random chance of that or a Gehenna shirt)
Warth of Echoes - A Fading Bloodline
Tsjuder - Antiliv
Departe - Failure, Subside
Weedeater - Goliathan

I'm not a massive fan of "bits and bobs" things but they all look pretty nice and I think would be cool for people who are a fan. The shirt looks great and I'm glad I got the Hooded Menace one.

I was getting it just the shirt and CDs and they're the main focus, which works for me.

CDs are all new/sealed, seem like a good mix. I haven't check out many past boxes, but I'd like them to have a good range of genres if I was going to get more. Overall, happy with it as a one off purchase and if people like these gift boxes, random CDs and the usual extra stuff you get in them, this one seems solid.

If you ever get the chance to see Fleshgod Apocalypse live you totally should do it. They're loving awesome live.

Also, they sound better live. Their albums sound great but are a bit of an incomprehensible mess. Since you can't hear *every* note live, it's a lot easier to listen to. They actually DO have different melodies sometimes! I always respected them, but after seeing them live, I dig 'em now.

Plus it's fun in a 14-year-old-angry-at-my-Dad sorta way to tell people: "Dude! I'm seeing Fleshgod Apocalypse!" and watch non-metal people go: "The gently caress?!"

...It's the small things in life sometimes.

It's OK. Like all Archers albums it has perhaps 1-2 relatively strong tracks and the rest are just a formulaic blur.

Saw them as well recently, it was fun and I liked the gregorian like vocalists but after half an hour it got a bit predictable.
