Imagine having the time to have played through 20 generations of one family in The Sims 2. Imagine making the original two members of that family Neil Buchanan and Cat Deeley. Imagine complaining to Maxis there was no technological progression. You've successfully imagined my life

So I know it's not the most popular thing to say in this thread but can I just say I'm genuinely impressed by Plod's response here - 8 minutes from the first 999 call to the three attackers being stopped, that's almost as quick as their response to the Westminster attack when the guy literally ran directly towards the largest concentration of armed police in the country.

Also fuckwits are already saying we need to suspend the election, which is literally the worst possible response. I know it's a cliche but the only thing we as a society can do in response to this is to carry on like nothing at all happened.

I'd completely agree with responsiveness. Not looking forward to the thread being shat up for the next few days by the usual fascists though.

I'm not claiming any particular knowledge, but at a guess I'd think there'd be a lot of collateral injuries from people panicking and stampeding away. I heard that a lot of the injuries at Manchester were caused that way.

Yes, the police response here was remarkably speedy & no doubt saved lives.

I guess if you burst into an area packed out with confused drunk people, you can stab an awful lot in 8 minutes.

No, it's a natural reaction and its the reaction that they want. The thing to do is to remember that its our response that defines us as a society.

Each time we give up a freedom in the name of security. Every time we stigmatize, criticise and control a community in the name of a false integration. Every time we panic and splash their faces on the front page of our national newspapers, reporting their names and their ideology in porous detail. These are all little victories for terrorism, and change who we are as a people.

I wanna take a moment because I didn't catch this last night but namtab is on point.

Hi, I'm Theresa May and it's definitely right that we all suspend campaigning in order to respect the victims and not politicise this event.

Also while I'm up here here are some policies I propose to combat this issue in the future if I am elected:

I live in London and so do my family. My sister was locked down during the Westminster attack and earlier this evening my girlfriend and I passed through London Bridge. We often shop in Borough Market, we've eaten in Brindisa, we've been to Katzenjammer. There is a very real possibility that people I know and love could be the victims of Islamic terror. You're a disgusting individual telling us that we are we are more of a danger to ourselves than these monsters are.

Calm down, statistically you a member of the british public are more likely to be self-harmed by mental health issues than harmed by terrorism, not to mention that there's mental health issues overlap with lots of the people that commit these mass murders.
