The attack line I'm hearing is that Corbyn has a history of opposing ~powers~ which apparently fix police underfunding. I'm pretty happy they went for that, because it's way weaker of an argument since new powers haven't helped, May personally said cuts wouldn't matter and the police are saying they do, and May voted against half the powers she's talking about until she got into government anyway.

From what I can tell (I don't live in the UK anymore), Labour are doing quite well in Derbyshire. Our local candidate has been campaigning like mad, focusing mostly on education and telling OAPs how Bingham wants to nick your bus pass. I think it was a good platform to run on, there's loads of elderly people where I used to live who effectively rely on public transport to get anywhere. My mum says she's seen far more signs than usual. She puts loads of videos on Facebook that are doing well with the younger voters, but she's out canvassing a lot too, chatting up the old dears. Also, I trust her because she's my friend's mum and she used to babysit me when I was very young  I'm very invested in this election despite being a Canadian now. My grandfather gets in-home care at the moment after having a stroke & I'm a bit nervous about the Tories effectively robbing my nan and nicking a house that's been in my family for like 120 years
