Tom Hawkins is a very small man and a punch from him would carry no significant force.

Yes but if you'll allow me to draw your attention to this selectively chosen still frame of Crouch less than a second after being punched by a 6'5" professional athelete/oaf, you'll see that Crouch is, in fact, soft.

The BigFooty defence rests.

Furthermore Hawkins has slimmed down a lot in recent years, meaning that punch didnt pack nearly as much force as it could, nay, should have.

0.108 is mid range DUI, so he got an on the spot license suspension, and will get a day in court with a 3-12 month driving ban at the end, plus a fine of up to $2,438, and potentially a gaol sentence of up to 6 months (he won't get one of those, not even a suspended sentence)

Connolly was pretty vocal during the strike - he used a post match press conference with a coach (Richardson, I think) to rip Fairfax a new one on live TV. Wonder if that played a role

The Lions are understood to have offered Schache, 19, a base contract of about $350,000, with incentives that would enable him to earn around the $500,000 mark if he played games and performed.
