xmage users: 1) what server should I use? 2) how do I add a stop on the fly, like I do on MODO when I want to cast something in opponents upkeep/draw or something and don't have a full-time stop set?

I think that's probably the #1 area that should be targeted. You want people who are new to show up to FNM and have a good time? Make a precon that actually can win out of the box. The sacrifice deck from BFZ was actually really good.

The time putting your opponent's triggered ability on the stack while controlling their turn with Mindslaver forced you to time out. For like year and a half, until Rich complained about it on the VSL The time Waxmane Baku could tap any number of creatures without counters. LSV still won that game, then shamed his opponent into not abusing it for the rest of the match. The time Brainstorm put cards back in some other order (possibly alphabetical???) than what you chose. The time Ponder shuffled randomly regardless of if you wanted it to or not. The time the MTGO shuffler almost always gave you the card that you scryed to the bottom on your first draw step. The time you couldn't hold priority for your opponent while controlling them with Mindslaver.
