Going to be really depressing when the Conservatives win an increased majority despite running an absolute dumpster fire of a campaign while Labour's has been more or less flawless given what they had to work with.

It's because most people are lovely and retarded, you're talking about the same group that voted brexit despite the overwhelming evidence against it and how it would harm them, like of course they're gonna hand victory to the Tories.

Batten down the hatches and form support groups with friends and family and ride out the coming storm.

She's in a large number of group chats and stuff involving getting campaigning and getting the vote out on Thursday, so I'd assume she read it there. Just quickly looked on twitter to see if I could find something "Official" but was struggling, but one person said outside TGI's. Which is a daft place to do it, but the owners of Buchanan Galleries have made the area around the concert hall steps quasi-private, so Labour may have been advised to avoid it.

"The Guild of Firefighters had been outlawed by the Patrician the previous year after many complaints. The point was that, if you bought a contract from the Guild, your house would be protected against fire. Unfortunately, the general Ankh-Morpork ethos quickly came to the fore and fire fighters would tend to go to prospective clients’ houses in groups, making loud comments like ‘Very inflammable looking place, this’ and ‘Probably go up like a firework with just one carelessly-dropped match, know what I mean?" Also, 999 votes on the thread poll, with a sizable correct majority and about 150 nobs.

Sky are showing a very tightly zoomed in view of May doing a speech to tory activists in a shed in Slough, so lets see if they'll show Jeremy talking to what must be 600 people in Birmingham, which is being livestreamed to 4 other locations at the same time. (Jeremy isn't on at time of post, there's a band playing, and Steve Coogan already spoke.) https://www.facebook.com/labourparty/videos/10154579521852411/?ref=notif¬if_t=live_video_share¬if_id=1496773117646116 e; to my surprise, Sky are showing it. mehall fucked around with this message at 19:45 on Jun 6, 2017 |

Regarde Aduck posted:If the olds won't vote anyone else and the young won't vote at all then I guess the choice is deal with it or leave the country. I think that leaving is the better choice if you are able, especially if unlike myself, you have a degree (or your skills are not already abundant in Europe and abroad, like mine are being an electrical worker whose highest level qualification is a Higher National Diploma) and the financial backing to make it happen. If we end up having to stay and deal with it, then so be it, but I don't look forward to the day when inflation rises over 30%, a can of baked beans costs £10 and home invasions increase in their frequency, not for valuables, but for edibles. Support groups of family, friends, neighbours and like-minded people are always good, but are also a depressing prospect when a Support Group becomes, of necessity, a local militia of people guarding the stocks of your local Corner Shop and local allotment plots with ersatz pikes and halberds constructed of lengthened and sharpened scaffolding poles, broom handles with knives taped to one end and repurposed gardening implements. All this because a fair proportion of the 52% had to get their bigot out.
