Take that Independent headline with a pinch of salt. Lebedev's other 'paper', the Evening Standard, is a Tory publication in all but name today. Something like 15 pages with some sort of Corbyn-bashing on it.

They put their preliminary poll out a couple of hours ago. It showed the 12pt lead. Unless the last section of their sample was really weird I can't see what he's so excited about. E: Well that was nothing.

The main thing that could gently caress things up for May is if people decide they can't be bothered to vote for her and turnout is lower for her base. Their manifesto was FYGM towards practically the entire population, and all the media focus has been why you shouldn't vote for Jez rather than for Theresa May, so it probably hasn't inspired people into the booth for her. Still, expecting a Tory landslide and despair.

Boon was involved in that DP street poll the other day where the options of how someones opinion of the leaders had gone was "Corbyn more" "Corbyn less" "May More" "May No Change" so I'm tending towards him being a dickhead.

Did anyone post Nate Silver's piece on the UK polls, which was published when we all had a lot more on our minds. A tl;dr version if I'm interpreting it correctly: Take the average poll lead of the Tories over Labour, and assume a 10 point margin of error either way. So about that hope, eh?
