Rupert Buttermilk posted:Someone in the group posted a screenshot of the Dude In Question (DIQ) messaging him on facebook, being all, and I'm paraphrasing, but it was really bad "You think that when your daughter gets old enough, you won't try to gently caress that? Oh man, when she brings all of her friends home, you'll start thinking things, blah blah blah' and then he says something about a tight 'pussybone'. So, guy who gets the message posts the screenshot in the group, asking very much 'what the loving gently caress?!'. DIQ then starts to apologize, saying that he was drunk and he was trying to be super edgy and goony, and went too far. Hell, our prez got away with it...

I read through the first 51 pages and didn't see anything about this...does someone have a link to the thread from around 2010 about the goon and his friends who foolishly bought a plot of land sight unseen in some desert wasteland in Texas? I think they called their camp "Texarakas" or something like that. Everything about their failed plan was hilarious except the part about them bringing a German Shepard with them in 110° heat.

Thanks! I didn't think it was possible but time hasn't rendered this lot of fools any less pathetic than I remembered them to be. From the Boston.com article preceding the move: quote:In Texarrakis’s founding myth, charismatic ringleader Gene Atwood, 28, of Watertown bought the land off eBay in 2003 for $550 plus $100 in fees. He put it on his mom’s credit card...

Is this different from the Goon that proudly bought land in the desert of Texas that was smugly bragging about getting so much land for so cheap, then everyone tore him to pieces over things like having to have water brought in by truck because you couldn't even reach it with a well?

Not really a saga, but does anyone remember when someone made a big thread dedicated to much they thought the movie Lucky Number Slevin was bad? It was pretty great. I think it was in CineD, but it could have been in GBS. It was quite entertaining.
