Introducing the imaginatively titled "robot bombs" sub weapons. By the sound of things, it's a walking proximity bomb. EDIT: Yup. No. 1 Callie Fan fucked around with this message at 10:47 on Jun 6, 2017 |

Since there are new subs and specials, they have to change a number of existing weapons. They'll probably work the same normally. For the Octobrush/Hokusai, Subweapon is Robot Bomb, and Special is the Jetpack.

I know one was slower but better range compared to the smaller one.

I don't think we've had confirmed brushes in 2 yet, aside from this one. In 1, the brush that looked like this was a little slower than the other brush but put down more ink. In 2 we haven't seen it in action yet so nobody can say for sure.

"This is the Prime Shooter. It boasts higher accuracy and range than most other shooters, but it consumes ink at a high rate, requiring careful maneouvering from the user. Recommended for advanced players. Its subweapon is the Point Sensor and its special is the Amefurashi." "This is the Amefurashi*. You throw it with the R button and it creates an ink rain cloud above the point of impact. The cloud will move around slowly, leaving puddles of ink in its wake. Very effective for securing a foothold or flushing out entrenched enemies." "This is the Point Sensor. Though it made an appearance in the first game as well, its effect has been adjusted slightly. Just like before, It tags any enemies near the point of impact, but now the tagging zone will persist for a short while. It seems much more reliable for finding hidden enemies now." *An amefurashi is a type of mollusk, but the word "amefurashi" literally means "rainmaker". Not to be confused with the Rainmaker.

The Dynamo Roller is largely unchanged from the first game, aside from getting a long-range vertical swing like the other rollers. Ink Mines have been modified: aside from being able to lay down two mines now, they no longer go off on their own after a while and any enemies caught in the blast (if they don't get splatted) get tagged as if hit by a Point Sensor. The Sting Ray has been buffed since the testfire. It now fires only when you hold down the ZR button; when you don't, you can aim much faster and see enemies through walls. Also, the Splash-o-matic is coming back: https://twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/872748391675027456 Comes with Toxic Mist and Inkjet Doc V fucked around with this message at 10:39 on Jun 8, 2017 |

So expect them to show off all the cool new stuff like Salmon Run.
