It's a shame we didn't set up before time a thread vote tracker where we check how many thread votes are useless safe seat votes. Like 95% or so I'd guess. Isn't FPTP the best?

Just had a tory oval office on facebook on the defunding of the NHS saying that it's a strong government that makes hard but necessary decisions. You know, the hard but necessary decision to move money from public services into their offshore bank accounts.

I'm in a bellwether seat - picked the government's party since the 60s. Will let you know if I hear anything hopeful but, well, yaknow. Even if we flip back to Labour we're apparently the more marginal of the bellwethers so I guess

Long time lurker, putting my +1 for the jam man for Manchester Withington. I'm convinced this isn't going to be a fun night, but I'm happy and refreshed that the debates actually had increases in public service spending as a message from most of the main parties. I hope that message stays alive but hahahaha Also managed to convince my lifelong Tory dad to vote Labour, so that's something I suppose!

Off to vote. Or course, I live in Scotland in a safe as houses SNP seat (Glasgow Central) so my vote will make no loving difference to the outcome, but hey - civic duty, and all that. I wish we had proportional representation.

Apparently my local MP has looked worried recently. According to the local canvassers Theresa May does pretty shittily around here and the MP himself is a piece of poo poo who refuses to door knock himself as he doesn't have time to deal with poor people, preferring to swan around and assume the national press's propaganda will keep him comfortable... pity that there's nothing positive to say about the Tories this election, eh?
