Hi Australian here. Are you all looking forward to live action roleplaying supporting characters from V for Vendetta after this election cycle or is it looking like everyone getting fitted for 1984 jumpsuits?

Because this thread smells like despair.

Our war against free speech cannot end until we silence this bronze beast!

I'm gonna spoil myself today to make up for the crushing inevitability of everyone as far as the eye can see voting for she-hitler.
Eating a Scottish breakfast and then I'm gonna head home and bake some homemade bread to make steak and chimichurri sandwiches for when my girlfriend gets back from her zero hours job and mmmmaybe a Spanish tortilla and some chorizo to go with the enormous amounts of tequila I'm gonna be drinking til the early hours. I've hooked myself up with enough limes to do 32 shots I pray it is enough.

Our polling station thinks they have had a 40% turn out already and most people vote after 5pm, and they are all voting Labour according to the bloke outside.

This is like watching a love letter to labour from the working and lower classes in an area that was predicted as going Tory at the start of the election.

May not translate across the rest of the country but drat it North Derbyshire is once again proving it is the greatest part of the country by doing it's best for good.

It also doesn't hurt, and it softens the blow after voters inevitably gently caress up.

I know some people don't like hope, but I remember 2015, I remember the independence referendum & the Brexit referendum. I let myself believe that the goodies would win & lo & behold, they did in fact not. I don't think you can really grasp the sense of utter despair & depression I felt the morning of 19th September 2014. Christ it was bad.

well enough young people voted in that in the first place to smash the turnout estimates in most polls going around, so if even more young people are voting then that's very good.

Make a briquette press, best of both worlds. You get to burn the Sun or barter it for other people to burn, and nobody might inadvertently read it.

Also regardless of the publisher most papers since the late 80s (Wapping in the case of the Sun) use lovely toner now that comes off too easily. You don't want an inky ring.
