On my way home to hopefully turn Stroud back Labour again. Going knocking after placing my vote, first active thing I've managed to make time for but hopefully it'll make a tiny difference even though it's pretty last minute!

I wouldn't say age is the new predictor of likelihood of voting, young people have voted less than old people forever, including the Boomers when they were young and spending all their time smoking joints and marching for free love and socialism.

We've both decided that this whole politics thing was clearly a massive mistake, and have agreed to abolish the government forever and just sit around in our rooms crying ourselves to sleep and drinking. Please encourage your friends and family to do the same.

Regarde Aduck posted:Why do you have Tory friends? Its sad to say, but the past 2 years of politics has really ruined some of my friendships. I am still cordial to them in general but every time I am around them I am just thinking about how in reality I know they are selfish bastards who only vote the way they do because they feel that they have no need of public services and anyone that does use them is leeching scum in their eyes. I wish this sort of thing didn't matter in regards to my personal friendships but it does. The other side to it is the people who know the Tories are evil scum but are voting for them anyway because they believe all the rhetoric about Corbyn from the biased media outlets. I still like them well enough but I have lost a lot of respect for the people who fall into that category.

Just finished a GOTV list in Battersea. Did a whole council estate with a friend - people seem upbeat and they loving despise the Tories. Got a blind guy a lift to a polling station and told a bunch of people they don't need their voter card to vote. Going to have a beer now.
