I remember in the US elections (2012 IIRC) when Republicans were outraged that Democrats were supplying buses to bring senior citizens to the polls. Apparently this was a very anti-democratic thing to do. I think they were Jewish seniors which explains something

You will find republicans who outright say that people who don't pay tax shouldn't vote. Sometimes they go one farther and say their should be poll taxes, and literacy tests, like the good old days!
