communism bitch posted:The only recent story that springs to mind was in Tower Hamlets but iirc it was based more on informal, non-technical fraud achieved through getting people to vote in certain ways through peer pressure. Aye, the thing to remember is none of the reforms they have introduced to this point nor the ones that are in their manifesto would have done anything to stop what happened in Tower Hamlets. The future reforms will make it even harder than ever for young and poor voters to register and vote.

Long time lurker (combat liberalism). Voted Labour where the current Labour MP won by under 500 votes last time. I think she'll hold it. Dirty under-30 with previous Labour vote here and Lib Dem before that. In my defense it was 2010 and I was a student in Hilary Benn's (boo hiss) constituency. Does anyone care to guess what constituency I voted in today?

I'm in a Tory/Labour marginal. Labour have been campaigning pretty hard locally, but the turnout here is often chronic - sure enough, I asked how busy it had been when I voted a few minutes ago and apparently it's been 'ish'. 50 minutes of hope left.

Sometimes they go one farther and say their should be poll taxes, and literacy tests, like the good old days!
