A reminder that Square, after having shown nothing but the opening reactor of the FFVII remake for two years, and not showing anything past the first boss which takes maybe ten minutes of time to get to in the original game, has now decided to consolidate development internally which means not collaborating with a competent developer, and turned the project to the lead programmer on a mobile title. This is something similar to what happened with FFXV in that they basically said gently caress it and gave it to somebody they trusted (after nearly 7 years of nothing, mind you) and that game is their most incomplete game since Xenogears on the PS1 which turns basically into a visual novel on the second disc. And it took an additional 3 years of development at that point. They have not updated anyone on whether or not it's still supposed to be episodic, but add that clusterfuck onto the pile as well (imagine releasing an incomplete episode and what that would do to the turnaround time on future episodes). Your children will be able to play it after they graduate (college).

I really wanted to like FFXV but there were so many bad things that got in the way of me being able to enjoy it. FF7 remake shouldn't be a complicated mess imo, people just want to play the dumb game. The first disc is pretty weird. Like house enemies that launch nukes at you, the entire don corneo chapter... Just give me that dumb game.

Is the switch eshop completely separate from the Wii U/3DS eshop, or is there a way I can link them? I'm pretty sure I linked my Switch to my Nintendo account but I just put some funds on the eshop on my switch and they don't show up on my 3DS.

It's a shame because otherwise Shantae is a strong female character, the game artists just can't help themselves with fanservice. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with fanservice, I just think it's inappropriate for children and that's the audience I personally have to keep in mind. This is why I generally prefer Nintendo games. They are uncomplicated, generally family friendly, and even a violent game like ARMS I can explain that these fights are a sport that has rules the participants have to follow, not people trying to hurt each other.
