Bullocks. I was just starting to hope my constituency had a chance of going red, as Sir Simon 'bastard' Burns stood down, and no one really knew the Tory candidate (she was out mep, but clearly saw her sweet job will be gone soon). But no. loving rats cocks.

Extreme0 posted:So Tories win. Calling it. Probably. The SNP love to talk about how every SLA voted to Remain, but that's hiding an inconvenient truth that not every constituency did. Banff and Buchan is one of the ones that voted Leave, mainly because of the fishermen in Banff and Fraserburgh. In this election it's not between parties, it's a straight Brexit battle with Leavers voting Tory and Remainers voting SNP. And as Leave won the first time, I would expect it to win again.

I wonder how two thirds of Labour MPs feel, since they've spend the past 2 years asking in an increasingly higher pitched voice "Are you sure? Are you really sure???? Wouldn't you rather someone a bit more electable????????????? Can't we just have one more leadership challenge??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????"

She's the best SNP MP, quote:Congratulations! I'm glad that Corbyn has won. It represents a great opportunity. If there's one thing that lefties hate more than splitters it's democracy but with Corbyn in charge the Left now have no excuses to fall back on and no Establishment conspiracy to blame - defeat will entirely be on themselves. I might be concerned that Corbynite blinding aggression and deafening volume would override sense if this was shortly before the next General Election but as it stands 4 1/2 years is plenty of time for the Corbynites to drive themselves into the ground. If Corbyn loses in 2020 then left-wing politics will be fully discredited, the Blairite post-GE claim that British elections are won in the centre will be definitvely proven, and the socialist cancer consuming the country will go into remission for another generation.
