If the Tories get 325 seats and get one of the 'others' to hop over, that's a pretty poo poo coalition that can't get anything done, right?

So if the Tories still manage to clinch a minority government, it'll be down to a collapse on the snp, right? Did anyone manage to predict that?

I don't think their having the largest party (and presumptive government, minority or otherwise) was ever in doubt, but the snp collapse might give them a majority.

Sitting in Parliament requires swearing allegiance to the Crown which the political wing of the IRA is averse to doing.

Probably less averse than most imagine.

Again, abstentionism wasn't primarily about the oath. It was about a refusal to acknowledge British sovereignty over anywhere in Ireland. Sinn Fein refused to take seats in post-partition institutions because they didn't believe them to be legitimate successors to the second Dail (the Army Council of the IRA was actually argued to be the legitimate government of Ireland). Taking seats in the Dail and especially Stormont compromise the principles behind abstentionism. The remaining objections are in essence strategic.

If the Tories oust May and make him leader, he will be PM. The tories have won this, just, but they were predicted MASSIVE gains 2 months ago.

Queen will give Tories first try at forming a government, they're incumbent. It would be hilarious if they bungled that.
