Still nothing, presumably Amber Rudd is now calling for recount seventeen on the basis of a technicality last invoked in 1614.

Also Labour person is straight up saying "Yep I cop, got it wrong, Corbs did good." Hopefully this will finally put to bed attempts to unseat him and let us really get a unified party together for the next go round.

So at the the moment the Conservatives are going to
- be massively demoralised from a terrible campaign
- immediately have a bruising leadership contest post-election
- probably be reliant on the DUP to form a government and leadership would constantly be at the mercy of their own lunatic fringe
- also still have to deal with Brexit and carry the can for its consequences.

It might not be a case of victory being worse than defeat but its damned close

Congratulations! I'm glad that Corbyn has won. It represents a great opportunity. If there's one thing that lefties hate more than splitters it's democracy but with Corbyn in charge the Left now have no excuses to fall back on and no Establishment conspiracy to blame - defeat will entirely be on themselves. I might be concerned that Corbynite blinding aggression and deafening volume would override sense if this was shortly before the next General Election but as it stands 4 1/2 years is plenty of time for the Corbynites to drive themselves into the ground. If Corbyn loses in 2020 then left-wing politics will be fully discredited, the Blairite post-GE claim that British elections are won in the centre will be definitvely proven, and the socialist cancer consuming the country will go into remission for another generation.

Enjoy the party, chaps.

Is this a parody post based on something from November 9 because otherwise it makes no sense. Corbyn probably won't be PM, and also it reads like insane ramblings.

That seems like a crazy plan. Would the Northern Irish parties go along with it?

The "Coalition of Chaos" is pretty big but it's not everyone. Sinn Fein refuses to actually participate so they're out. DUP (Democratic Unionist) is basically the NI Tories, so they wouldn't join. And the UKIP... well, has ceased to exist, so :v:

The CoC would be Labour, Scots National, the Liberal Democrats, the Greens, Plaid Cymru (Wales National), and the SDLP in NI. A few of those aren't winning any seats, it seems, though, so it appears it's down to Lab/SNP/LibDem vs. Tory/DUP.

It all depends on what you call victory. May loving punted into the gutter is a victory, for instance. Telling young voters their beliefs matter and they can make a difference is a victory. Showing socialism isn't dead is a victory. In some ways, making the Scottish even more ashamed to be Scottish can be seen as a victory.

Its gone from being a very close marginal to being a Labour safe seat!

61% of the vote in what was a marginal is absurd.

Even a month ago this looked completely impossible and it's still not outside possibility that Corbyn might, just might, deny the Tories the possibility of a coalition government.

If nothing else, the Tories are going to be in chaos because their second leader in twelve months has once again derailed the plans of the party and is now the shortest-serving PM in a century.
