Wish I could get sympathy 'jobs

Going down from a majority of almost 5000 to about 300 is a hell of a shellacking though, and as the Beeb are saying, that narrow margin combined with her great closeness to May and high-profile role in the campaign makes it a hell of a lot harder for her to step into the PM ring.

Let's not celebrate too hard, yo, even if we get a couple more big wins like Kensington/Sherwood/Blackpool North & Cleveleys this is still looking like the Tories sneak back into government on the DUP's shoulders. Bet on another election within 12 months and a possible big swing back to UKIP as the Brexit negotiations get buggered ten ways from Sunday.

If genuinely nobody can actually form a government then, given the Sword of Brexitcles dangling above us, it's going to have to be more-or-less immediate, I'd guess.

The likely scenario is that they'll get the DUP (Northern Ireland crazies) to top them up. If it's enough. If it isn't then... uh... uh...?

Possible, but I can't imagine it'd happen due to the whole Brexit thing. It'd essentially be party suicide. So don't rule it out.

From what I understand the Lib Dems were burned so badly by this last time they won't even consider it. Its the Tories+Irish Unionists or another election it seems like.

And Brexit negotiations start in what is it, 10 days? Oh boy!

Has the UK ever had 2 elections in a month?

Lib Dems aren't going to go anywhere near a(nother) coalition with the Tories. Most likely right now is a Conservative/DUP coalition which will have a majority of about 2 or 3.
