Just popped in to say I was totally wrong about Corbyn's electability, and ended up voting for him. Diane Abbott can still bugger off the front bench tho, total liability.

SpaceDrake posted:To be extra clear: as much as such a position would look tempting to most, your average Sinn Fein partisan hates the Tories. The modern Tories are the people who claim the mantle of those who caused Ireland centuries of suffering and agony, depopulated her and left her to starve and tried to force a religion on them. Even moreso than Labour, the Conservatives represent Conquering England to Sinn Fein. Everything you're saying is accurate, but I think the original question was whether SF would take their seats in opposition to the Tories, if they're on like 324 seats and thus having all 650 filled means there's no Tory majority.

Hilariously, isn't the best thing for the Tories to put Labour in power so that they can deal with the massive gently caress barrel that is Brexit? Rather than eating that bullet and Labourmania sweeping the nation after?

Well this result is certainly a thing. My biggest fear was that Corbyn would fail and the socialist dream would die, now there is no reason for that beautiful man to resign. Going from that far back to a hung parliament in a snap election is nothing to be ashamed of. May on the other hand... This result will also mean that the Tory Party will now be held accountable for their discraseful fake videos, bullshit, and lies, during the campaign. Wankers.

However, actually doing that is both too hard to engineering reliably and would cost too many careers to be doable deliberately.
