Orange Marches are fine to about the same extent EDL rallies are fine. Except that only about 12 people show up for the EDL before they get chased into a pub by antifa and they don't play loud music at 8am on a Saturday.

I think they'll get a Queen's Speech passed because none of the Tories wants Corbyn anywhere near Downing Street. Beyond that, though, passing any sort of remotely controversial legislation is going to be very hard, and passing a Brexit deal is going to be an utter nightmare.

The Orange Order and Protestant Identity need to die because they are objectively lovely things built on prejudice, entitlement and a sense of supremacy traditionally enforced with violence. Pretending they are just a bunch of colourful cheeky chappies doesn't change that.

Honestly the best chance you have for that being brought through is a party with a strong majority (who for obvious reasons probably wouldn't be in favour of the idea) or a broad coalition of parties. I don't think the temperature is quite right for it amongst the population, but it's something that is now at least in the consciousness.

There's absolutely no way the Tories will ever go for it.

Not your point I know, but if I understand this right the links at least sound like they may be less tenuous than those between the IRA and jeremy corbyn, so Labour still has some bragging rights. Not that anyone who reads the Mail will believe that, of course.

More than that, the Scottish cons all got their seats due largely to strong campaigning from Ruth "actually engaged to a catholic woman" Davidson. The Orange Order and looney prods in general are a wing that the Scottish party has been very much downplaying to bring up their moderate (and modern, because lol anti-Irish racism in 2017) image. A strong association with the DUP could see the Scottish Tory vote vanish.

There's going to be a leadership election within the next year. Don't know whether it's going to be contested. Smart money would be on Jo Swinson; she was a frontrunner before she lost her seat in 2015.

Would not be surprised if there are backroom talks already taking place between Labour and the Lib Dems over standing down for each other in key seats in the next election. Richmond Park for Hastings and Rye seems like the most likely trade.

The make up of the party is a lot better than it was in 2015. Four women, including Westminster's first ever Palestinian MP and, as far as I know, the first MP selected from an all-disabled shortlist (Stephen Lloyd is deaf).
