Looks like troubleshooting a medium-voltage drive despite the description calling this an MCC (motor control center).

https://youtu.be/AMKD_bzmql8

Whatever it was it blew the adjacent compartment door open. On the drives I've worked around that side was the incoming power then you have the rectifier/inverter stages and output going left to right with the controls in that last compartment with the lights and HMI computer screen.

EDIT: looks like it might be a Shenzhen INVT brand medium voltage drive. Flash might be in the transformer compartment. May very well be a different brand many of these look similar.

I love guessing about such things. So I'm guessing your refrigerator lamp (draws enough power to EMP somethingsomething).
Disable the lamp with a bit of tape to the connector or screw it out and tell me if it still happens.

Sorry for late reply - I've taken the bulb out (15W 240VAC SES globe). We shall see. I did forget to mention these are on completely different circuits in the house. (flip breaker to kitchen area keeps where computer is plugged in powered). Also a light switch for under the house also SOMETIMES fucks the stick up. I think you are somehow close as both involve a light (fridge light and the switch has a red light in it to let me know I've left under the house on).

EDIT FOR NEW CONTENT:

A few of our field techs have been reporting their fibreglass ladders are flaking and causing itching. Simple solution is buy new ones. Bosses solution is send the warehouse guy to hardware store for fibreglass resin and spend 2 days painting coats of resin on them. Also no mask/protection to be seen. And finally - finger prints all over said ladders as random employees go over and touch them to see if they are set.

For those playing at home: these are people involved in making sure a gas plant within 'you're dead' range of my house from blowing up.

I was going to say that turning things on/off causing wierd effects elsewhere (like sets of light getting brighter or dimmer) could be due to a floating neutral on a 120/240V Edison power system, but you said the bulb was 240v? Are you in the U.K. with a ring-bus setup?

Yes Australia. Who knows what voodoo electrics are in this house. (Also yes I do have a 2200VA UPS for the other person asking).

I think I mentioned my last house where I spent months bitching to my ISP about regular dropouts on my ADSL connection, probably every hour in the evening. Turns out it was me stepping on a certain floorboard that the phoneline ran on - it tweaked it just enough to drop the connection. Of course it was on the way to the fridge for beer. I sense a pattern here...

will it blend had a product to advertise. for a channel like this, the videos are the product. a longer average watch time per video means more ad revenue from youtube

It's the advertising. Youtube ads don't pay at all below a certain length and then pay more based on how long the viewer watches. Basically no one who is trying to make meaningful money off of Youtube is going to make a short and to the point video unless that changes. It's sort of a perverse incentive situation, where the system gives content creators more money for making their videos worse.

I remember a big furor a few years ago when animators were up in arms because it's really hard to make a long enough animation to qualify for full ad coverage, which meant that suddenly they were getting almost no money. I think it hobbled the animation scene on Youtube.

It definitely hobbled the animation scene, and pretty much everything that isn't a vlog. I can spend weeks making some quality animation or writing and filming a script for a number of things, or a couple hours making & editing a 10 minute screed about Power Rangers. Hmm, which do I do?

And guys like Jontron and PewDiePie and some alt-right vloggers almost single handedly made a lot of advertisers leave the site entirely because there were little to no guarantees about what kind of content their ads would end up on. So now no one can get ads because they are selling less. They don't want to risk that whoever their ad is appearing on is gonna get up in front of some swastikas and start ranting about vagina entrapment.

1) A-Frame ladders aren't supposed to be used that way, it should be opened all the way.
2) Standing on the second to top step of an A-Frame ladder. Second to top and top steps are a no-go for standing/climbing.
3) Assuming they used that ladder to scale the truck, ladder doesn't extend 3 feet past the surface you're climbing on to.
4) The Duty Rating for that ladder is probably around 225 lbs. So the guy + clothes + tires may be pushing that limit.

Once again, pretty minor stuff compared to everything else we've seen here but still not OSHA approved.
