Basically I see Rag as a sort of hybrid assassin/specialist who can defend and waveclear and do a bit of splitpushing and gobble up assloads of XP while still being decent in a fight. I also think that full Blast Wave build is fun and good

I use boost while in melee range of an enemy 7% of the time. The CD talent for better map travel is invaluable

If you are really new and trying to get better at Ragnaros, remember: try to hit the whole creep wave with your Q for a decent self-heal when diving or escaping, alt+E to selfcast; it's much easier than clicking yourself while trying to keep moving get fancy with your meatball cast directions - roll it vertically across turrets/walls to push the lane, roll it backwards to catch people diving at you His kit has a lot of little nuances to it that make it really fun to play without getting too complicated.

Godspeed diddy. Hots has less weirdo nuances to learn than other mobas but with it's expanding cast and slew of maps there is an intimidating amount to learn out of the gate. Getting a feel for when it's safe to do something is a high level skill no one quite gets the hang of so just stick with it and you'll be feeding marginally less like the rest of us.

You're never gonna learn to land hammers unless you throw (and miss) a bunch of hammers. If people give the dude poo poo for missing hammers, he should ignore them and continue to throw hammers until he stops missing hammers.

Just played against a Chromie who had the fast hearthstone talent and would just peace out everytime anyone looked at her She got the "Team Player" award for not dying while outnumbered lol

Yeah, and generally I only take it if there's two because careful trap coverage/smart Timewalker's Pursuit usage can usually deal with one. It's absolutely invaluable in the situations where it's needed, though.

Pretty much the only times the cooldown talent is better compared to the nitro boost, even when accounting for map travel, is when you're JUST about to catch up to a fight, end your boost, shoot a few dudes, and are able to immediately boost into them and knock them around. In this case you wait five fewer seconds to do it compared with Nitro. There is an incredibly good reason that the nitro talent has a better-than-5% marginal winrate increase than the other L1 talents.

So if you're just trying to get to a place Rush Down is quite a bit faster. The issue is that even if you're getting there faster, you need to be going to the right place, which is not always easy, and getting there earlier has to give you some value, which is not always the case. Also, if the range for the nitro bonus damage was actually melee, it would probably be a really bad talent. The real distance is more than a typical ranged basic attack.

I bought alarak on a lark. He's hard. But you just clown on people when his moves aren't constantly wiffing on people in the animations. I'm not keen on his quest talents so far. Getting a triple hit is too hard.

Not only is Alarak amazing he's voice by John de Lancie who played Q in the Next Generation (I don't know if he was in other star treks???) and has the greatest voice acting in any game ever. Uther could take over if he said "Well met!" when he stunned people.

Q talents are generally her best. I think energy on taking damage for the D is the most important in qm. Just slap that on the tank and you're gold.
