There Bias Two posted:So is it totally dead now? I doubt the Supreme Court will wish to hear it. There's already a petition for the Supreme Court to review the 4th Circuit's decision. This decision makes it very slightly more likely they don't review it (if the 9th Circuit had reversed, that would have created a circuit split virtually requiring Supreme Court review) but it was already viewed as extremely likely they were going to take the case.

It's 50% cultural shift that people can eat fresh greens all year long now so they don't make due with cans of muck and then old people mouths not being able to taste how awful and bitter canned steamed greens are compared to just buying fresh baby spinach or something like a modern person. You can boil your own fresh collards. They're good.

The citizens of Puerto Rico have been split between full independence/current status/full statehood for a while and no group has won a clear mandate for their approach so the status quo has just persisted. If there's a clear mandate for statehood then it becomes much easier. Better question to ask is why they didn't make Washington DC a state.

(Not criticism directed at you OP just a general observation, 'eat mostly veggies with some other stuff mixed in' is great advice) Wonder if there's some correlation between 'is a poo poo president' and diet. But regardless it's all fake news and just a waste of valuable taxpayer money, and a distraction from the real issue of <whatever trump wants to do>.

I'm not a lawyer either and this is a big list of claims, so I'm not sure there is any sense in them suing over the china stuff. But stuff like the BLT hotel and the event center has a really direct "trump owns a thing, the state owns a thing, they are competitors, people said they picked trump's because he is president and trump also said that" which seems very direct 1-2-3 for why it's in the state's interest to sue directly on it and that he is openly using his position to earn money.

What this means is that Democrats are successfully getting the wealthy whites who liked Republicans but hated Trump to vote Democratic. Which is extremely handy for 2018 because it suggests that the assumptions that the 2010 gerrymandering were built on may no longer be true - poor whites migrating to the Republican party, rich white migrating to the Democratic party. Even if it's a wash, the change makes the gerrymander less effective and means that Democrats may have a better chance to get the majority - because Democratic voters were previously packed into heavily Democratic districts, so some defections there probably doesn't matter, but Republican voters were stretched into moderately Republican districts making it easier to swing them.
