It was a threat, so they might need some time craft some verbal jujitsu to cover Trump's rear end. 2.The tapes do exist and they are formulating a legal strategy since whatever is on them could be pretty damning. 3. The tapes exist and need to be doctored. I wouldn't put it past this administration to attempt it.
