I used to use full-auto with rifles most of the time because "I can control it and fire in bursts." Now I only use it if I'm clearing a building and don't have an SMG/shotgun. I would say your SMG should always be in full-auto though.

I legit don't understand the gripe about training. If you want to practice shooting, just drop early on the highest loot spot near the start of the plane route and pick up a weapon and start shooting. You're not gonna run out of ammo. Either you kill people and keep going, or you die and start again. It takes like a minute to get into a new game, which is as long as it takes the ARMA 3 practice range to load (which btw is the closest thing to what you idiots are asking for). The only weapons you won't be easily getting by just dropping instantly is the M24, the AWM and the M249. The M249 is just a SCAR with a really extended mag and the M24 and AWM can be practiced using a KAR98 no problem. If you want to go pro, practicing one specific aspect is literally a worse use of your time than practicing every aspect at the same time, since shooting is like 10-20% of the game anyway.

I'm with you that it would be cool to have a gun range to practice in, but when you rant about streamers having a huge advantage because they can make custom servers you sound like someone who is about to warn me about the dangers of fluoridation. Streamers get really good at the game because it is their job. They get good by playing three times as much as you do every day, not by making a custom game and saying "ok be my target practice".

I was in a squad game yesterday but I forgot I had an appointment so I had to leave so I dropped all my stuff and ran ahead of my team as bait and I ended up punching a guy to death in the final 12 players. E: so I picked up his stuff and brought it to my team and ran off again and nearly punched another guy but he wasn't quite as bad.

Sandbox mode will almost certainly be in the game, streamers get to host custom games because of exposure for now but it will almost certainly not stay exclusive. If everyone were able to host custom games at this point, people would be bitching PU spent too much money on servers rather than improving the game. It's early access, you'll probably get your sandbox mode but it's very early and it's entirely reasonable that it's restricted for now. Quit bitching. I think there's definitely value in being able to test and gently caress around with weapons and gear in a sandbox but they don't have it added yet so your best bet is to just play the game and get better through repetition. Most people aren't good anyway so it's not like you've got to get your fundamentals really tight in order to do well.
