Is the playercount per team going to remain the same as previous games? Seems kind of low for a game based on the biggest war

Looks like COD multiplayer. I was hoping they would go back to their roots even more and have kill based streaks, but we're still stuck with a system that makes TDM an unfun grind.

I decided to break my mold of holding back enough keys for tomorrow's daily double and opened up a random blue box. I unlocked the Galil. Only played with it in hardcore so far. Seems...slow.

At 3:20 does he slip on a piece of rubble or is it confirmation of diving returning?

I don't know if I can go back to wheezing after running 20 feet post-infinite sprint. Guess I can do the "preorder through Amazon for the beta" and cancel if it's lovely.

Bumper Stickup posted:At 3:20 does he slip on a piece of rubble or is it confirmation of diving returning? Diving is back, though apparently it's not as dramatic as the dolphin dive. Sliding is not in the game. Divisions, which replaces Create-a-Class, does give me cause for concern. Divisions appear to be tied to weapon classes, and each Division has a unique weapon perk and have ability perks that are tiered like pro perks (ugh.) Then there's the Basic Training perks, and I'll speculate that Basic Training perks are not tied to Divisions. Having only one Basic Training perk feels super limiting, as for me it's Scavenger or bust. Here's a current list of Division classes and perks. e: yeah, Basic Training is traditional perks by another name https://twitter.com/MichaelCondrey/status/874729159586488320 Godzilla07 fucked around with this message at 23:46 on Jun 13, 2017 |

Well, that… looks more or less exactly like what I was expecting. I was holding out a spark of hope that they'd buck expectations with the setting or the weapon sandbox, but every single detail just looks like a high-fidelity version of the stereotypical WWII shooter that burned the market out. The light class system they're going for could be interesting, but all the skills are all kind of niche, and the training perks look like weirdly condensed remixes of other perks. Plus, notice how the division training perks are all level 3, with 3 bullet point descriptions. If they've dredged up the concept of pro perks... yeurgh.

Gimme my Russian front, gimme my Italian front, GIMME MY FRANCE FRON- oh wait did they have a front. But yeah, some more hot takes: - YAY UAV COST REDUCED -What kinda horse poo poo is this with the M1 being reloaded like it's some future M1 I feel weird about this -Domination is bad for points, god drat. 50 per kill, 150 per capture, the gently caress gives -Were there silencers in WW2? -please quickscope you gently caress -We better go full Dart Kamikaze with that Fighter Pilot, but I fuckin' doubt that. -Bayonet Charge looks straight lifted from BF1, down to tunnel vision. But then again, it's probably more real life that that's how bayonet charges worked -what in the god drat gently caress since when were there lazer barbed wire thingies in World War 2 what is this -I saw that fuckin' jumper there DON'T BULLSHIT ME HE WAS GOING FOR SOMETHIN' TRICKY

That attack run KS seems odd. So you get to choose the strafing run line AND control it? I will say this, the game sounds nice but I have no interest in WW2.

Another fun kill trade feature from IW: on FFA if your final/winning kill is a trade, the game doesn't register as the winning kill so the game keeps going until the next highest player gets to 30 kills.

Everyone rages every now and then. Honestly if we're not rolling a full group assume our pubby is going to be sub trash tier and feed the enemy non-stop. Add to that the fact the only people left playing blops are sweaty try hard and the pub stomping days are long gone. You could always give IW a try where the lobbies are way less sweaty.

Now I know that the series is totally different now than it was a long time ago, but I have to say how disappointed I am at how things have changed. I played the first game all the way through on Veteran difficulty and spent hundreds of hours in 1, UO & 2 multiplayer. The tagline of Call of Duty used to be: "In the war that changed the world, victory was not achieved by one man." The most iconic moment of the series is when your commissar gives you a rousing speech and makes you charge the machine guns without even a weapon. In the campaign, when a character that's been with you since the first drop into Normandy is killed off, he gets no dramatic final scene, nobody tells you how you should feel about it, the game doesn't fetishise the thing in any way. You begin the mission, play it for a while and maybe notice at some point that your buddy is missing. You think to yourself: Did you miss a line of dialog or something? Is he coming back after you clear these few houses? And then you backtrack a bit and find his crumpled up body among all the other chaff NPC's. The war didn't stop for him, for anyone. It'd be fun to play a CoD game as some random grunt who doesn't have a dramatic arc or arch nemesis or special powers, or anything like that, but fucktard millennials grew up learning to be stupid fee fee filled Snowflake's Cucks so we have to play as the most special soldier ever... or else their fee fees will be damaged. Oh well. I guess Running With Rifles will have to do...
