Things seem pretty bleak in modern day Britain, I really do wonder how much more its going to take for our society to have a serious breakdown and for some kind of modern day revolution to happen.

Every new detail we learn about the Grenfell Tower fire reveals such systematic malevolence it's hard not to be furious. I hope a lot of people go to prison over it, and that it leads to a huge push for higher quality social housing, because the whole situation is an absolute disagrace. David Lammy angrily calling it out as corporate manslaughter is spot on. This is bad for May.

I could be wrong but it feels like we're in the middle of an actual historic tipping point in UK politics.

I know Corbyn got to grenfell tower at about 11, what I would really love to see is him handing out bottles of water, organising donations, etc. All he has to do is clear his diary for the day, and it's a marvellously easy win, as opposed to skulking around on the sidelines only speaking to pre approved sub servients. Also, I bet every media outlet has a permanently streaming camera trained on the tower, willing it to collapse.

For all the complaining about the length of time this is taking a speech on the 21st would be like a week faster than it took in 2010

Once the dead have been identified and removed, the tower should remain as a burnt out husk as a monument to "this is why the market shouldn't be allowed to decide what is safe".

Corbyn wont put on a show, he will mostly be in a private room listening and talking to the people who were involved in all the original complaints and taking down names. It's the right thing to do but not the best media strategy, hopefully real people will see this now.

The DUP would have to specifically vote against the Queen's Speech to bring down the government. If they merely abstain it would be 318-314 if the entire Coalition of Chaos vote in lockstep.

Corbyn's been at the scene, photographed being shown around with a rep from the Fire Brigade Union, who (I assume) would have had one or two observations on the impact that Tory cuts have had on the service's ability to respond to situations as serious as this.
