Which paper had that headline a few days ago about a forecast 3 months of hot weather?

People tend not to riot in bad weather, so..

I just went back and checked, well got the gist, of what the weather was like back during the last time it all kicked off and the best summary was "warm, but not quite hot enough that 'standing up covers you in sweat' hot"

Hunt has given strong indication that the pay cap for public sector workers, or at least NHS staff, is on it's way out. Too loving little, too loving late.

Can't really imagine what must be going on at Tory HQ right now. It's like all their austerity chickens have come home to roost at once, and the Grenfell fire is something that is going to haunt them for years to come.

Is there any possibility of a second referendum being called for a leave/remain vote? Particularly if a re-election results in a Labour government or is it an absolute certainty from this point? With all the uproar at present and the very real chance for political change as well as the slim majority and length of time required could the first round of negations result in Britain backing down and admitting it was a mistake?

Regarding the chat on WCAs, I was kind of wondering whether an Occupational Therapist who ended up ignoring medical advice - so they could fail someone - could in turn be reported to the HCPC for not fulfilling their professional obligations.
I mean, I'm a registered Allied Health Professional and I'm pretty sure that if I flagrantly ignored medical advice as part of the service I provide, I'd be up poo poo creek if I got reported to the HCPC.
Just thinking that OTs might be less willing to toe the company line if there's a risk of them getting banned from the profession if they do so. And then whichever company does them would just hire more nurses, but eh

I give it five seconds before some vague reason comes along and Hunt goes "Sorry we can't because of X, but we'd like to give you more money and it's the thought that counts... Right?"

I mean, I wouldn't claim to get a decent real pay raise. But I'll still call him a oval office.

Reminds me, someone in my office voted Tory because "magic money tree" - someone who is stupid and complains about being under paid as an NHS admin person. Yet didn't want a money tree raise. Idiot.

Changing gears slightly, what really shocks me is just how little political sense May actually has. Like, even the dumbest of American pols would totally go visit victims in this sort of thing, because their advisers would realize that it still makes for A Good Look. Just not visiting them at all is ridiculous and hands a massive artillery load to Corbyn.

Like, I'm just shocked such an inept politician managed to become the Tory leader and thus PM. The Tories are in real trouble going forward if May represents their general caliber.
