Apparently JR told all of the Pens ufas to test free agency first so I guess he's not in a hurry to re-sign any of: Nick Bonino, Matt Cullen, Trevor Daley, Ron Hainsey, Mark Streit and Chris Kunitz. I think they'd like to keep Bonino and probably Kunitz if the price is right. The rest are probably gone no matter what. They'd take Cullen back for sure but he's like 99% likely to retire.

Sergachev was a 9th overall pick last year (a much stronger draft) and was good enough to play a handful of games in the NHL. He kinda flatlined a bit to start the OHL year, but he was the best non-overage defenceman in the OHL by the end. He's quite a prospect. Always possible that all the flapdoodle about Drouin going AWOL last season is still following him around. Should be interesting to see if this is all the Habs have going on, or if it's just the first shoe to drop.
