Even Fiz knows there won't be one :smug:

But really, they lost basically no one. Their "big" losses were their OC and a FB. And they get back Trufant, Shelby, Clayborn, etc and added Poe, Takk etc.

Not saying another super bowl run is booked, but I don't think they will fall off like some have but the hangover is real so

Bad, very bad!
I really thought Greg Robinson was going to be awesome.

Did he just never develop or is there some huge hole in his game that we all missed back when he was drafted?

The Good:
Michael Brockers
3 good years of Janoris Jenkins
Alec Ogletree

The Bad:
Isaiah Pead - Went off the rails, got in a car accident at end of last year and lost part of his leg
Stedman Bailey - Got shot in the head trying to protect his nephews in a car, can't play again
Greg Robinson - Still incredibly athletic, but is an absolute moron
Rot Watkins - Came to came overweight, got cut before his first season
Zac Stacy - Didn't like being a backup after Todd Gurley got drafted, got traded to the Jets

Greg Robinson and Pead I put on Jeff Fisher, Bailey looked like he was going at least a good number 2 wideout before the whole shooting thing ended his career. Watkins and Stacy were 6th and 5th round picks so who the gently caress cares.

Ryan Leaf did an AMA.

quote:

Q: A common explanation as to why Eli Manning refused to be drafted by the Chargers was that you shared your bad experience in San Diego with Peyton Manning, leading to the Manning family into thinking the Chargers are a horribly run franchise, and them being the reason that your NFL career didn't pan out. I guess my question is that is there any truth behind that story? And how would you describe your experience with the Chargers ownership?

A: My opinions might have been an influence, I dont know. But I think everyone could see how that organization dealt with nurturing a young rookie QB. Eli and the Manning family made their own decision and it worked out well in the end for them.

Aw hunny, these came out GREAT!

quote:

As he walked off the field, dozens of media members wanted to know what was going through number 17’s mind. Moreover, how sad of an occasion was the final practice at the facility?

“Sad to me is probably too strong of a word,” he corrected them. “There are a lot of things that are sad that people are dealing with. Sad is probably a little too strong. But (it’s been) emotional…. Sad is not the word, but I think thankful. Shoot, it’s been awesome.”

While it is bittersweet to say goodbye to a place that has meant a lot to him professionally and personally, the quarterback explained what excites him as he heads north to LA.

“I think anything that is new is exciting. What’s the atmosphere going to be like at the first home preseason game? What’s the training camp site (going to be like). All those things. Anything new is always exciting. The unknown. As you’ve seen, once you get out practicing around the guys, things do seem normal. We will find that new normal moving up the road. We’re coming off two tough years, but it’s a team that fully expects to win a lot of football games. I’m really looking forward to it.”

There’s a famous Latin saying that Rivers has adopted as over the years.

Nunc Coepi – Now We Begin.

As he packs up his locker and gets ready for training camp to begin next month, he noted the motto may ring true now more than ever.

“It is only right for me to be fired up to go up there, and know that everyone up there is going to get the same guy that I’ve been here for the last 13 years.”

I love my quarterback
