I know it's probably a small gripe, but if they're paying Erin $300k Brit dollars or whatever, why is he over in the US appearing on their TV show, instead of working on the game? Do you think he stays in Chris's 5th spare bedroom or rents a suite at the Ritz? Wasn't the whole point of having all these disjointed studios so that they could get more work done, meanwhile the boss of the studio that seems to be doing any work isn't even there?

okay after watching the video I now see that they didn't actually reinvent the concept of serializing variables, they just realized they could use macros to avoid having to copy-paste the serialize and deserialize methods into every single class and structure. The real question is why they're writing their own serialization code in the first place instead of using any of the libraries that already exist for such a basic thing in any popular language.
