So were the "warscrolls" supposed to be up for free like in AOS? The ones we can use for power level play?

Sanguinary Guard Ancients are really good. No morale tests and reroll 1s in combat within 6", -1Ld to enemies within 3", and 3 attacks at AP-3/Damage d3.

Dunno why they didn't copy Sigmar in this regard, but we'll see what happens when the new 40k app comes out.

Anyone else doing their Primaris marines as Black Templars? I'm looking for inspiration and ideas, so I guess nice looking non-Primaris BTs might work too?

I'm almost done with a Raven Guard bigmar: All that's left is clean up my sloppy highlights. I find myself paralysed by choice once again. There's so many interesting ways I could paint these dudes. I was going for Raven Guard at first but I also kind of like the notion of a traditionalist space wolves successor that still wears 30k colors and look down on the modern SWs and their wolf mounts. But bigmars would also look nice in Blood Angels colors, and I like the Salamanders, and the FULMINATORS ultramarines crack me up What do

SRM has posted some nice BT's in the old thread if you click on his posts. Here's a link to his contributions in the painting thread. Some sexy 30k Ultras too. From a fluff perspective, I feel like the Templars (as well as possibly the Imperial Fists) might not be so big on Primaris marines. There's the whole Gulliman vs. Dorn rivalry, plus the Templars being so close with the Ecclisarchy are bound to be against any of Cawl's innovations. Nevertheless, go for it (the above is just my opinion)! Legendary Ptarmigan fucked around with this message at 22:31 on Jun 18, 2017 |

I'm gonna do Primaris Marines as Templars doing the cross on the face that my Neophytes have; to save folks the trouble, here's my Templars so far: Gonna finish up some Assault Terminators in the next few days.

Templars being against Primaris would cement them as the official best chapter, not that they weren't already.

SRM what's your recipe for realistic black skin? I want to include some black marines in my bigly army

The bigs look kind of amazing with chapter-specific heads. I was going to make mine Lamenters, but then I saw them with DA hoods...

Does anyone else feel like the Gravis Captain's helmet is set way to far back on his body? It looks pretty weird to me. Hopefully I get used to it.

Would a close combat Knight be too much? I feel like it would only good useful for taking on other knights and other models with large amounts of wounds.

Dorn actually thought up a plan for the successor chapters to disband and reform the Fists if they ever suffered debilitating casualties.

You can no longer disembark after the transport has moved in the same turn. What's that about?

WhiteWolf123 posted:"Fixed". Now I can't move my transport, disembark and then assault... Correct. Instead, you disembark 3" (If I remember right), move your units and your transport, then you assault. Open-topped or Assault Vehicle are no longer needed. Basically it works like it did before 6th edition (where units like Banshees and the like were semi-useable) with the added option of assaulting with your transport at the same time as your unit(s).

They're no longer "needed" to be able to disembark and assault, but the assault range drops now, since I can't move the transport before disembarking from it. It's better for Berserkers and stuff that couldn't charge from their Rhinos at all, but it's worse for armies that already had "assault vehicles" at their disposal.
