Sir Young was the guy who commissioned Diego for the arrow that trapped Jeanne, and he blames Young for what happened to her. So, he would program the laser cows to not bother cleaning up around a monument dedicated to Young.

Also probably programmed them to dislike anyone with Young/Elgamore's job.
