I hooked the printer up again and my cat Bakal is extremely happy. He made friends with the printer several years ago (to the point that I recall one night he turned the printer on, looked at the little glowing screen on it for a little bit, and then turned it off, as if saying "hey, goodnight friend") and now he is very happy that is friend is plugged in and capable of lighting up again. He likes to sit on his friend the printer and be near him. My cat Bakal is special.

I know Twin Peaks is the water cooler show everyone is talking about right now but you know what show is hype? Riverdale. If you had told me an adaptation of Archie Comics would be good, I would have laughed at you. But the show starts with Jughead delivering a film noir monologue, people are namedropping Truman Capote and Toni Morrison, and then Betty and Veronica run a sexual sting operation so they can capture the captain of the football team to drug and torture him to extract a confession about a schoolwide conspiracy. Also there is possible incest and definite murder and Betty might have dissociative identity disorder

I dislike all these fragmented subscription models that end up being nearly as expensive as a cable plan just to watch like three shows. It's why I haven't watched American Gods either, I'll just wait until they are on Blu-Ray and I can rent the discs

I think there's a difference between a collectible that, even if you want to do all gameplay related things, you can just pick up and put away, and a minigame where you have to shoot sexy pickup lines to make a woman moan while a camera glides across her half-naked body in close-up. Or a minigame where you have to make bikini women wrestle. I will say that the pan away from the box of tissues in the video store is one of the best uses of cinematography in that game

I mean, it's Yakuza. the hostess clubs are a Japanese thing, and Yakuza as a series is EXTREMELY Japanese. At some point you have to ask whether you have an issue with the game, or with the culture it's showing.
